Cleared for Independent Dispatch: ASM’s Ashley Linardo Completes Precepting Phase

MANCHESTER – As of June 28, 2016, ASM’s Ashley Linardo has been cleared by Eastern Connecticut Health Network medical control for independent dispatch as a paramedic to the towns that ASM serves. Her preceptors were Paramedics Mike Levasseur and Dave White and Paramedic Supervisor Tim LaChappelle and Beth Sheils.

Ashley started at ASM in October of 2015 and graduated from the Capital Community College Paramedic program. She started off in the medical field five years ago as a Patient Care Technician and a volunteer firefighter.

As with all precepting phases at ASM, Ashley’s final approval came from Eastern Connecticut Health Network after shadowing her and her preceptors in the field as they responded to emergency calls.

Cleared for Independent Dispatch: ASM’s Jared Krajewski Completes Precepting Phase

MANCHESTER – As of May 23, 2016, ASM’s Jared Krajewski has been cleared by Eastern Connecticut Health Network medical control for independent dispatch as a paramedic to the towns that ASM serves. His preceptors were Paramedic Supervisor Bob O’Neil and Paramedic Don Hart.

Jared started at ASM in August of 2013. He graduated from the Capital Community College Paramedic program. Jared has volunteered for the Bolton Volunteer Fire Department and worked in the Intensive Care Unit in Manchester Memorial Hospital.

As with all precepting phases at ASM, Jared’s final approval came from Eastern Connecticut Health Network after shadowing him and his preceptors in the field as they responded to emergency calls.

MANCHESTER – As of March 11, 2016, ASM’s Matthew Buerk has been cleared by Eastern Connecticut Health Network medical control for independent dispatch as a paramedic to the towns that ASM serves. His preceptor were Paramedic Supervisor Melissa Osborne and Paramedic Greg Derosier.

Matt started at ASM in April of 2013. He graduated from the Capital Community College Paramedic program. Born and raised in East Hartford he obtained his EMT certification in 2007 and worked for Hartford Hospital for three years. Ultimately Matt plans to become a flight nurse.

As with all precepting phases at ASM, Matt’s final approval came from Eastern Connecticut Health Network after shadowing him and his preceptors in the field as they responded to emergency calls.

HARTFORD – As of March 1, 2016, Aetna’s Michael Bouley has been cleared by Hartford Hospital medical control for independent dispatch as a paramedic to the towns that Aetna serves. His preceptor was Paramedic Kevin Stock.

Michael started at Aetna in November of 2015. He graduated from the Capital Community College Paramedic program after studying western philosophy and sociology at Central Connecticut State University. Michael has also been a volunteer EMT and field training officer with Windsor EMS for three years.

As with all precepting phases at Aetna, Michael’s final approval came from Hartford Hospital after shadowing him and his preceptor in the field as they responded to emergency calls.

Josh started at Aetna in April of 2013 and graduated from the Paramedic Studies Program at Capital Community College. His preceptor was Paramedic and Field Supervisor Matt Campbell. The full precepting phase can take ten to 12 weeks or more as the paramedic is prepped for the realities of the field. Josh served in the United States Navy for four years.

As with all precepting phases at Aetna, Josh’s final approval came from Hartford Hospital after shadowing him and his preceptor in the field as they responded to emergency calls.

Eric started at Aetna in March of 2015 and graduated from the Hartford Hospital-Goodwin College Paramedic Program. His preceptor was Paramedic Matt Campbell. The full precepting phase can take ten to 12 weeks or more as the paramedic is prepped for the realities of the field. Eric started in EMS at 16. He is currently continuing his education at UConn with an eye towards medical school.

As with all precepting phases at Aetna, Eric’s final approval came from Hartford Hospital after shadowing him and his preceptor in the field as they responded to emergency calls.

Billy’s preceptors were Paramedic Don Hart and Paramedic Supervisor Melissa Osborne. The full precepting phase can take ten to 12 weeks or more as the paramedic is prepped for the realities of the field. As with all precepting phases at ASM, Billy’s final approval came from Eastern Connecticut Health Network after shadowing Billy and his preceptor (Vinnie Maston for Billy’s final shift) in the field as they responded to emergency calls.

Billy started at ASM as an EMT-Basic in 2012 and graduated from the New Britain EMS Academy Paramedic Program. He graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor’s in Psychology with a focus on neuroscience.

Chris started at Aetna as an EMT-Basic in November of 2014 and graduated from the Hartford Hospital-Goodwin College Paramedic Program. His preceptor was Paramedic Matthew Campbell. The full precepting phase can take ten to 12 weeks or more as the paramedic is prepped for the realities of the field.

Originally from New Jersey, Chris moved to Killingworth at age fourteen and moved to Manchester after college. He went to the University of Connecticut for Psychology and Anthropology.

As with all precepting phases at Aetna, Chris’s final approval came from Hartford Hospital after shadowing him and his preceptor in the field as they responded to emergency calls.

TJ’s preceptor was Paramedic Jennifer Pasquale. The full precepting phase can take ten to 12 weeks or more as the paramedic is prepped for the realities of the field. As with all precepting phases at Aetna, TJ’s final approval came from Hartford Hospital after shadowing Terrence and his preceptor in the field as they responded to emergency calls.

TJ started at Aetna as an EMT-Basic in 2014 and graduated from the Capital Community College Paramedic Program. Initially from Waterbury, TJ resides in Wolcott and volunteers for the fire department there. A graduate of University of New Haven with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, he was President of the New Haven Alumni Association until attending Paramedic school at Capital Community College. TJ actively DJs events and stays fit through cross-fit and other endurance activities.
