{"id":6253,"date":"2015-01-26T17:54:16","date_gmt":"2015-01-26T17:54:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.asm-aetna.com\/blog\/?p=6253"},"modified":"2015-01-26T19:59:48","modified_gmt":"2015-01-26T19:59:48","slug":"external-winter-storm-update-from-despp-demhs-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.asm-aetna.com\/blog\/external-winter-storm-update-from-despp-demhs-2\/","title":{"rendered":"External Winter Storm Update from DESPP \/ DEMHS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>January 26, 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Watch for all of Southern Connecticut for Monday afternoon thru Tuesday night. \u00a0A long duration (36-hour) very high impact (Blizzard) Northeaster is currently expected. \u00a0Please see the attached preliminary snowfall forecast.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Here&#8217;s a detailed forecast based on the current weather models:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.asm-aetna.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/NWS-Map-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-6254\" src=\"http:\/\/www.asm-aetna.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/NWS-Map-2-100x100.jpg\" alt=\"NWS Map 2\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" \/><\/a>Monday&#8230;A weak clipper system is forecast to move east off the North Carolina Coast Monday morning. \u00a0Light snow is forecast to spread into Connecticut between 10:00 AM &#8211; 2:00 PM. \u00a0The light snow is forecast to increase in intensity during the afternoon reaching a moderate level by 4:00 PM.
