The full precepting phase can take ten to 12 weeks or more as the paramedic is prepped for the realities of the field.\u00a0As with all precepting phases at Aetna, TJ\u2019s final approval came from Hartford Hospital\u00a0after shadowing Terrence\u00a0and his preceptor in the field as they responded to emergency calls.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">TJ\u00a0started at Aetna as an EMT-Basic in 2014 and\u00a0graduated from the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ccc.commnet.edu\/admissionsEMT.htm\">Capital Community College Paramedic Program<\/a>. Initially from Waterbury, TJ resides in Wolcott and\u00a0volunteers for the fire department there. \u00a0A graduate of University of New Haven with a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Criminal Justice, he\u00a0was\u00a0President of the New Haven Alumni Association until attending Paramedic school at Capital Community College.
