His preceptors were Paramedic\u00a0Supervisor Melissa Osborne and Paramedic Joshua Traber.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Michael\u00a0started at ASM in February\u00a0of 2016 and\u00a0graduated from the Capital Community College Paramedic program. \u00a0He\u00a0started off in the medical field in 2011 after receiving his EMTB Certification. \u00a0He has been a member of Glastonbury Volunteer Fire Department since 2008.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As with all precepting phases at\u00a0ASM, Michael\u2019s final approval came from Eastern Connecticut Health Network\u00a0after shadowing him\u00a0and his\u00a0preceptors in the field as they responded to emergency calls.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On behalf of the ASM Family, we would like to wish Michael\u00a0the best of luck and say we are very proud to have such skilled professionals on staff.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MANCHESTER\u00a0\u2013 \u00a0As of September 9,\u00a02016, ASM\u2019s Michael Karanda\u00a0has been cleared by Eastern Connecticut Health Network\u00a0medical control for independent dispatch as a paramedic to the towns that ASM\u00a0serves.
