His preceptor was Paramedic Mitch Karr. Jacob started at Aetna in August of 2013 and graduated from Capital Community College Paramedic Program.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">As with all precepting phases at Aetna, Jacob\u2019s final approval came from Hartford Hospital\u00a0after shadowing him\u00a0and his preceptor in the field as they responded to emergency calls.
