“Thank you for being so competent and kind”

Ambulance Service of Manchester (ASM)MANCHESTERCongratulations to ASM’s Rob Bilodeau and Bob Anderson. Nice work!

A letter received by ASM:

“It’s hard to believe that a year has passed since my family called 911 around 3 am on the morning of February 21, 2011 because I was having difficulty breathing. Help arrived quickly, with little fuss, and I was soon on my way to Saint Francis Hospital during the beginning of yet another snowstorm.

“After a battery of tests, it was determined that I was suffering from congestive heart failure rather than pneumonia or asthma as originally thought. I was in the hospital for a week while my medication and diet were adjusted and my tests returned to more normal levels.

“I was home in time to celebrate my ninetieth birthday; during the summer we planted a garden; and in Decemeber I traveled to Pennsylvania to my grand-niece’s wedding!

“I probably wouldn’t have been able to enjoy these events last year if not for the 911 responders. Thank you for being so competent and kind. (A special thanks to the gentleman who made sure the emergency room nurse returned the list of medication I have given him). It’s reassuring to know the 911 response teams are there when you need them.”

Sincerely,

[Patient Name] #11-17060
