Recognition from the Bolton Volunteer Fire Department


On Monday August 5th ASM’s EMT Jeffry Hornish and Paramedic Cody Lemire received Certificates of Recognition from the Bolton Volunteer Fire Department.  Fire Chief, Bruce Dixon presented the certificates during the department’s monthly meeting.  Lemire and Hornish were recognized for extraordinary personal actions in the line of duty which lead to the successful resuscitation and saving of a life. Congratulations and great job!

ASM attends 9-11 event in Bolton

BOLTON- On Tuesday September 18th, 2018 ASM received the following letter from Bolton Fire Chief Bruce Dixon and 9-11 Event Coordinator James Aldrich.

Dear Kim,

We thank you, Steve, Brian and all the folks at ASM/Aetna for supporting the 9-11 event this year in Bolton. Paramedic Chris Myska and EMT Tiffany George did an excellent job of representing your firm. On behalf of the Town of Bolton and a grateful Fire Department we also want to thank you and your team for all that you day in and day out to help the citizens of Bolton.

ASM On Hand at Farm Day 2017 at Fish Family Farm

BOLTON — On September 2nd, 2017 Paramedic Jared Krajewski and EMT Bekka Fross, from the Ambulance Service of Manchester were on hand at Fish Family Farm for the Lutz Children’s Museum’s Farm Day 2017. The event provided local residents with live music, hay rides, animals, games, and most importantly, farm fresh ice cream.

ASM performed a standby alongside Bolton Fire Department. The standby served a dual purpose as the children were able to take tours of both the ambulance and fire apparatus.

ASM and Bolton Fire Team Up!

BOLTON-On March 5th, ASM employees were invited to Bolton Fire Department’s Headquarters to present to the town’s local Girl Scout Troop. Paramedic William Schnepp and EMT Tiffany Armas worked alongside FD members offering tips on how to work with emergency personnel. Tours of the ambulance were provided as William and Tiffany discussed ideas on how to avoid and prepare for emergencies. In addition, Girl Scout members received a tutorial on different types of equipment commonly used by EMS and Fire Personnel.

 


 

ASM On Hand: Farm Day 2015 at Fish Family Farm

Farm Day 2015 EBOLTON — On September 5, 2015 a crew from the Ambulance Service of Manchester was on hand at Fish Family Farm for the Lutz Children’s Museum’s Farm Day 2015. The event, which drew over 3,000 people, included animals, live music, hay rides, bounce houses, farmer’s market, games and farm fresh ice cream.

ASM performed a medical standby alongside Bolton Fire Department partners. The standby served a dual purpose as the children were able to take tours of the ambulance and fire apparatus. The ambulance crew was Heather DiGirolamo and Matt Kleza, the same two from last year, and they took pictures from the event.

On October XX, 2014 Firefighter/EMR Tyler Clark, Firefighter Derrek Kroc, Paramedic Tim LaChappelle and EMT Bob Anderson of ASM Ambulance, responded to a call of a XX year-old female who was having chest pains at 0247 HR. The patient stated that she had been working in the yard during the day and woke up with severe chest pains.

On arrival, the patient was anxiously talking with the responders and then collapsed into cardiac arrest. FF Clark and others immediately started CPR and used a defibrillator to attempt resuscitation. The patient was resuscitated after approximately ten minutes. The patient was transported to the hospital and released to go home seven days later.

Today I present you a certificate for your Extraordinary Personal Actions performed in the line of duty which lead to the successful resuscitation and saving of the life of a citizen of Bolton, CT on October XX, 2014.
